Candidates know, pending various logistics, the process can be lengthy. The true reason is that they do not know the next step in the process, and they lose confidence they are being managed properly through the very important process that has a profound impact on their career. To the candidates, the lack of transparency in the process might be insight into how the company treats and manages employees, and the natural instinct for them is to find a company that feels welcoming.

At the front end of the hiring process, a smart company will explain and even have a document to share with the candidate, the full process and steps the interview process with the organization. As they work through the process, even with unexpected delays, they are more apt to stay engaged if an effort is made to communicate with them.
